Our founder, Paul Hsieh, brings over 25 years of experience to our team. Starting as a delivery driver in high school and advancing through college into the tech industry, Paul's journey has always been rooted in a passion for tangible, hands-on business. Crafting Your Shutters from Start to Finish in the EsVata Workshop

Material SelectionWe source sustainable basswood from lumber mills, selecting only straight, defect-free materials for our shutters. -
Profiling MaterialOnce the material arrives, it is profiled into various components for the shutters. During profiling, a first coat of primer is applied to protect the wood from warping.

Raw CuttingThe profiles are then cut to rough sizes and stacked on carts, ready for precision cutting and drilling.

Precision Cutting and DrillingThe materials are then processed through high-precision cutting & drilling machines, ensuring accuracy to 1/64th of an inch.

AssemblingThe precision-cut components are secured in a digital clamping system and bonded with wood glue to create a sturdy dowel join.

Panel SizingAssembled components form the shutter panel. Using our Tiger Stop saw, we score the panels at the top and bottom. After sizing, we double-check for frame construction.

PrimingOnce sized, the panel's top, bottom, and louver sides are coated with primer, then hung on our finishing system for the initial full coat of primer.

SandingAfter priming, skilled quality checkers inspect for defects, marking them for sanding and touch-ups before the topcoat.

Finishing CoatPanels are coated for brilliance using a robotic arm controlled by operators scanning barcodes, then dried based on temperature sensor readings.

Final TouchAfter completion, the panels undergo final inspection and buffing before being paired with the frame, completing the shutter order.

How We Make Our Products
Our meticulous production process has been designed and refined to produce blinds, shades, and shutters that are ideal for every customer. We start with material selection, sourcing sustainable basswood from trusted lumber mills. We carefully select only straight, defect-free wood to create a solid foundation. The next step is profiling the material – individual wood pieces are profiled into different components and receive an initial primer coating to prevent warping.
After that, we move on to raw cutting, where the wood is cut to approximate sizes and stacked on carts for further processing. Next comes precision cutting and drilling. Using high-precision machinery, materials are cut and drilled with an accuracy of up to 1/64th of an inch. These precision-cut components are then moved to assembling, where they are glued and joined in a digital clamping system for robust construction. The panels are sized and verified using an integrated vertical saw system known as panel sizing.
Once correctly sized, the panels undergo a second primer application during the priming phase for full coverage. They are hung on a finishing system for the first full coat of primer. After priming, our quality check team thoroughly sands to eliminate any defects. The panels then receive a finishing coat, which is applied by a robotic arm and either hung or baked dry. For the final touches, we inspect, buff, and mate the panels with their frames. This detailed, quality-focused process results in window treatments that look beautiful, perform their function, and can withstand the test of time.
